View of the ruins of castle Aspermont in Trimmis, the Grisons. The castle was built on the foundations of a Roman watchtower, and served well from 1250 to 1550, when it was abandoned.
Daniel Düringer was a potter master, before becoming a renowned portraitist, animalist and landscape draftsman. He also did a lot of model drawings for stove paintings.
