One of 100 impressions of the a-edition with the blue signature, printed for "L'Estampe originale", published in vol. no. 8, October/November 1894. The woodcut was exhibited at the Salon de la Libre Esthétique in Bruxelles in 1895. André Marty acquired the title of "L'Estampe originale" from the Société de l'Estampe originale. The series of nine volumes with original prints was published between 1893 and 1895 and is an excellent example of the diverse styles and trends of the late 19th century.
