A portrait of the Munich publisher Reinhard Piper (1879-1953), whose credit it is to have published Beckmann's series "Gesichter" in 1919 and "Jahrmarkt" in 1922. The portrait was published in an edition of 150 copies on Japan and on laid paper. Beckmann had four copies made on orange and four copies on blue-green paper for the portrayed. Ours is one of those copies and therefore very rare.

Very beautiful impression with strong burr, printed on light, blue-green, Japan laid paper, with broad margins. In excellent condition.
