This is the first of the engravings of the Virgin Mary in a landscape to reflect the new conception of light which is found in Dürer's
work after his second trip to Venice.
A fine, early impression with rich contrasts, in excellent condition, before the scratch on the childÕs forehead. Trimmed to
the plate mark.
