Winzinger 92b. New Hollst. W. 42. 12,2: 9,5 cm. The scene takes place in front of an antique town gate, which, on the right, leads the view onto a lake and the mountains. Albrecht Altdorfer's composition seems to be inspired by "Cesar's triumphal procession" of Mantegna. The pilaster arrangement of the gate also shows Italian influence. Strong and fine impression of this print, created after 1520. Winzinger knew only of a few copies. Very rare.
