The cycle "Marienleben" consists of 19 woodcuts and the title page. With the exception of two woodcuts, all woodblocks were cut in the years after 1503. Two woodcuts and the title page were executed by Dürer in 1510, after his second trip to Italy. Together with the "Apocalypse" and the "Great Passion", the "Life of Mary" appeared as a book edition in Nuremberg in 1511. The Latin text for the "Life of Mary" was written by the clergyman Chelidonius and printed by Dürer on the back of the woodcuts. Strong proof before the Latin edition of 1511. A diagonal box pleat at the top and smoothed centerfold on the verso.
